Actually excited about flying now!
Just had to share this, because I am actually excited about flying. Never thought I would be before after my last experience with flying. I found out today that I probably will be going to New York City for a conference in the spring, still waiting for approval from the powers-to-be. If this happened pre-op, I would either be backing out of the conference or asking if I could drive (it's a long drive from Ohio). The last time I flew, it was about 6 years ago. I did not fit in the seats at all and had to have a seat belt extender. The stewardesses on both flights were not very discreet and it was embarrassing. Then on the second flight a lady had gotten upset that she was next to me and asked to move seats. I almost broke down in tears, but held off until I got to my hotel. I vowed that I will never fly again. Well this time I will be able to fit into the seats and no extender needed. I can't believe that I am actually excited about flying again.
Good for you!

YAY!! Its very exciting. I know the 1st time i flew post-op and i was very excited that i did not need a seat extender... Every time i fly now i can measure my progress by how long the tail is after i buckle the seat belt. I am flying on friday so i am very excited to see how many inches are there!!
That has to be exciting for both of you! I have not been on a plane since my senior year so I dont know what it is like. But it is awesome that you both can do it now. Great job!!
