Why are you here?
You are making me miss exercise. I just didn't realize how important it is to my daily life. It allows me to eat pretty much what I want. I makes me feel good. I'm 3 weeks out from kidney transplant surgery. I'm just now starting to get some walking in. I can't wait to get back to it!
Good luck on your ironman. I think that's awesome.

Well said Paul! You have been a great friend and inspiration to me over the past year.
I stopped posting much here in the RNY forum when I came to the realization that I don't fit in. I don't exercises, I TRAIN for races, when I was training for the ironman last year I peaked at 16 hour training weeks. I never count calories and sometimes I don't make the best food choices, but I refuse to beat myself up over it. I don't have many of the same struggles that other RNYer have.I don't care about clothes, I don't care about how many men hit on me, I am happily married.
I am not allowed to lead support group meeting because they don't want to other patients to "feel that they need to do an ironman" in reality, I wouldn't push anyone to do an ironman. Its a lot of hard work, and it takes more than a notion to train for and finish an ironman. That is a choice they need to make for themselves and if they make that choice and ask me for guidance, I will give it to them.
When I was training for the ironman, I drew so much support from the exercise and fitness forum. Some days were just so tough, especially the long days in the pool, the wonderful people on the EnF board were my saving grace. Now, in my year of trying to do half ironmans faster, I will continue to draw support from there, I need it.
As you know, I registered for Augusta half iron last week, I am so pumped up to race it with you, we are going to rock it!
