You also have to remember that in a forum like this you are going to get a lot of worst case scenarios because people who do have complications come here for advice. You're not going to hear from the people who have no issues. So on a forum like this it can seem like "most" people have issues where in fact only few do.

Once again--THANK YOU to all *****plied. It's wonderful so many people are willing to give honest answers both to the pro and con when questions are asked on this board ! For myself I'm fast approaching 67 years of age and have several serious medical problems my doctors say will be greatly helped by getting the extra weight off. I've spent too many years hiding behind my size--what time I have left I want to be able to enjoy-I want to be around when my grandsons get married and have families of their own, I want to go to New York City and climb the Statute of Liberty with out worrying about having a heart attack or getting stuck in the stairwell (lol) but most of all I want to spend the rest of my life at a normal weight. You guys are all the best and I so appreciate all the help I've been given here.

THANK YOU to all *****plied to my post. It's great that so many people will answer both the pros and cons to questions asked here. My question was asked more or less in jest but with a serious side as well. It's true when reading these posts you're more likely to read from people who are having problems but it's really wonderful that just being aware of these potential problems you won't be so blind sided IF they should happen to you. This forum is a GREAT source of information and help
