Holy Hot flashes bat man!!!! whats up with that?

ok i went through the freezing stage, that i understood, i was loosing my insulation..but man the last week or so...later after dinner in the early evening when i am done eating for the day pretty much...whats with the major hot flashes..man break into a sweat and every thing like i want to take a shower..i am 11 months post op....they last for like 30-60 min or so..then start to wear off kinda or i just head to bed and get in the fan...its like 8-10 in the evening when it happens, almost like clock work now...

just holy cow whats with the hot flashes?

I sure hope someone answers as I get the same thing!!  Only 5 months out though. I've had a total hysterectomy and have no ovaries so I dont have a clue.

Depends on what you eat, it could be dumpsville.

How old are you?  They could be associated with menopause. I started getting them in my early 40s.

I had a complete hysterectomy, went through hot flashes, and thought I was done!  I had surgery 7-1/2 months ago, then went through the freezing stage, now over the past few weeks, I'm getting horrible hot flashes again!  I agree...what's up with that????

at this point i cant even tell you which is worse, when freezeing you can put on more clothes and such to get warm..but when the hot flashe**** there is only so many clothes that can or should come off until you are home by yourself....
some one told me that is some of the different set hormones that are being released from the fat when we are loosing...i have been in a major stall since about sept, only lost about 10 pounds since then, but this week the scale looks like it is starting to creep again...i have seen a couple of numbers that i have not seen since september..so maybe there is something the fat loss and harmones...but man, they are horrible..
