Remember you body is going through allot of changes, if you have problem with meats right now just reintroduce it at a later time.

Try meats again later. I tolerated only ground beef for the longest time and
finally could do other meats at about 5-6 months out. I still do primarily
ground meats and will never do well with hunks of beast of any kind. I
used to be a real carnivore, but I get much more protein from beans,
legumes and dairy now. I only eat meat a few times a week and honestly,
meat just doesn't appeal to me now.  I think everybody is different in that
respect post surgery. Give it time and keep trying. Good luck!

Meat doesn't usually cause "dumping." Perhaps you are confusing the symptoms of an irritated pouch and digestive system with the actual dumping syndrome. Dumping is usually caused by sugars and, to a lesser extent, other carbs. Here's a link to Mayo Clinic's info about the syndrome

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/dumping-syndrome/DS00715

It sounds like your pouch and intestines are not ready for meat yet. It happens to many folks. I would recommend waiting a while longer and slowly introducing different types back into your diet. Many folks find fish and shrimp are tolerated first, then chicken, then pork, then red meat. Listen to your pouch, but rest assured that most folks eventually come around to being able to eat meat again.

Oh! I just re-read your post. Are you saying that you could eat meat recently and have suddenly developed an intolerance for it? In that case, I would keep an eye on it and see if it gets worse or starts to involve other foods. That could indicate a stricture is forming. You would need to talk to your doc about it if it worsens.
