Buyers remorse
I thought it would be a piece of cake and took only one week off work. Boy was I wrong! I ended up taking 2 1/2 weeks off work and still felt like CRAP when I went back to work. I can tell you it got better and better the more that time passes and you ease into your new normal in life. You are still healing and adjusting to this. Just getting enough fluids and protein is a chore in the beginning. Hang in there Christine, I promise it gets better!

If we could do it by ourselves, we would have.
Yep, surgery is unnatural. Someday there'll be a quick and easy, painless, non-cutting treatment. It'll be a gene tweak, or a mild electric current to the pituitary or something, and bingo-bango, your food addiction is gone.
But this is the best and only treatment we have now. Except for putting ourselves in some sort of jail where there is no food...hmm. I'll take the cell with the hot tub, exercise pool, and hot masseur.
BTW, I saw a controversial, nonFDA-approved medicinal cure for drug addiction on CNBC. Supposed to work for meth and coke addictions. They didn't mention food.

And now I am actually able to eat something without throwing up...I am not losing anything since the surgery 14 days out...I am pooping weird and life isnt the same...I am totally exhausted all of the time and I cannot get tdown the amount of water I need to get down....I am going to start going to the gym this week...I hope to gain some energy again...I also had blood work taken and I am still slightly dehydratedd and annemic still from the surgery....Hopeing to lose more weight asap....I did however lose inches...and went down 2 dress sizes and now am wearing a size 12 again
OMG yes I did!!!! For the first two weeks I thought "what the heck have I done" After I started being able to get my liquids down and get my protein in it started to get better When I moved onto mushy foods, soft foods etc. It got better and better everyday. It is a different way of eating and living. Now I am 3 months out and I think I have the eating down with only a few problems so far.
I just have to work on my vitamin regimen now. Now I am so thankful I did it! I am feeling so much healthier and happier down 68 lbs.
Good luck and hang in there!! It WILL get better!
