Ditto to what Heidi said. I was told to Increase sodium/salt into my diet. I needed to thicken my blood so the blood vessels didn't narrow or collapse each time I stood up. Instead of blood rushing to my head it would do the opposite, causing me to be temporarily extremely dizzy or totally blackout.

I'd still go see your pcp just to get fully checked out but in the meantime increase your sodium and see if that helps. Hope it gets better soon for you.

I've been experiencing this too, but mainly when I stand too quickly and/or stand up and walk right away. I asked my surgeon about it and he asked about fluids and eating. I told him I had been drinking 9-11 glasses a day and eating was fine. He said that it's common with rapid weight loss for our blood pressure to drop when going from sitting to standing because our body is used to maintaining a higher blood pressure for a higher weight and that with rapid weight loss, it takes a little while for your body to figure out a new, lower blood pressure to maintain you at. He said as long as I wasn't passing out, it was ok and that it was actually a good sign ;-).

But since you don't just have it when going from sitting to standing, you should probably get it checked out, especially if you fall over or pass out, just to be safe. Make sure to get your fluids in and protein to rule out those though.

thanks!
I am beginning to lean towards dehydration like was mentioned here.... I drink a ton of water, but I have been increasing my activity.  Today has been a little better - Saturday and Sunday I had headaches and the dizziness.  Support group is tomorrow so if it continues I will talk to my surgeon or his nurse then.
