Husband says I'm too old for those clothes.

I defiantly do not think you are too old to wear something with a little embellishment. I think your husband needs to just have time to wrap is mind around the fact that he has a new little hottie for a wife.

Give him time... How about posting a little pick of this NSV?

I saw this post earlier this morning, and I've been thinking about it since then.

There is a brand called Miss Me that is marketed toward those past the teenie years. Many of their jeans are stoned or embroidered. Several women I know wear them with silk tops or drapy sweaters and heels, and they look FABULOUS. (I wish I could wear them - their waist to hip ratio doesn't work for me).

If you want to wear them with a cropped skinny t, yeah, he might have a point. But if you want to wear them with the rest of an adult-appropriate outfit, go for it!

And yeah, I'm 56 and I DO wear embellished jeans, just not Miss Me. DH loves it when people think I'm younger than he is - in reality, we're 18 days apart.

I don't see a problem with wearing the jeans when you are out having fun.  Paired with a somewhat sophisticated top and a pair of high heels, they might be awesome and age appropriate.

My tastes tend to run along the lines of Faye Dunawaye or Lauren Bacall, and my taste hasn't changed since my 20's.  I have a fellow bariatric friend who will be my shopping buddy when i get ready to shop, and we are very excited to remake my wardrobe in the classic vintage stylings of Dunaway and Bacall.   I intend to go blonde when I hit 180 pounds.

It will be fun.  :)

So, where what you want.  Get a friendly stylist if you have any questions, and you might want to skip your husband as stylist (unless you are going out on a date with him).

Oh my....No butt crack ever...Not an attractive part...I will wear an appropriate top too...Going to wear them Sunday to my daughters baby shower! My husband has come around and laughs that my new jeans are an event...He didn't realize how he put his foot in his mouth with the "you are too old for the clothes" I also agree with those who posted just because you can fit in a Junior size you don't or shouldn't wear them. I really don't shop in the Junior sizes I just like this pair of jeans and they were a Junior size...LOL..
