need help just had surgery.

I just had surgery on friday to fix a fissure from hard lincoln logs. They told me to use stool softners but did not tell which ones to take. I had Rny last june. Which ones are ok for us to take?

I just use the generic kind from Walmart.  Did they tell you to use Miralax (or the generic)?  I find that works a lot better then stool softeners.  I use it every day and I get it on prescription so it doesn't cost too much.

They said just to use a stool softener. They did not specify which one.

 Colace or it's generic equivalent work post Rny.

I'm not quite a month out but after I had my Rny I became constipated.  My doctor told me to use Miralax for constipation and it is also a stool softener.  Really works for me when I need it!  Best wishes.

Miralax mixed in prune juice just worked for me. recommended by my nurse.
