6 year Sugiversary- There and Back Again
Thanks for sharing your story and showing that even if you have regain it can be lost again. I think too many people just give up. This is definitely a marathon and not a sprint. Congrats!!

Thank you for sharing this wonderful story. Along with diet and exercise, my biggest help in overcoming regain is daily weighing. Today I am three pounds over goal. That means I am going to work hard for the next few days to get that three pounds off. Realistically I am giving myself three weeks to do that.
I weigh daily, believe what the scale says, factor in things like salt and water, but know that once I allow myself to feel "this is good enough" about a higher weight, then I am setting myself up to go higher and higher. Regain can be addressed and stopped at anytime. But it will not go away until it is addressed and stopped.

Wow, congratulations! Thank you so much for sharing and that it's possible to still lose. I had ubilical hernia surgery last Aug. with a panni removal, then my thighs and lower back/tush done a week later and it threw me out of whack for like 3-4 months. All I wanted was carbs and I didn't exercise. I gained about 20-30 pounds which I'm now working at getting off again. For me, it's recording again everything I eat and getting back into the exercise routine I had before surgery. Lost 9 pounds so far. Love hearing how you were able to do it.

Thank you very much. I pretty much stay on track with the Back on track together group. I journal each day and in the beginning, I just try to capture what it felt like to be a newbie again at 700-800 calories a day until I worked my way back up to 1200 calories a day. I walk daily and do not drink with my meals and I cut out all white starches, no flour, no pasta, no pototoes, no sugar or anything sweet. I got my proteins up between 90-100 grams a day and eat mostly protein based foods with green vegetables and 1-2 fruits a day. I drink at least 64 ounces of fluid a day. My food sin is that I did not give up my diet pepsi's this time and I still managed to lose the weight. Kelly helped me get my vitamins all straighten out and my labs have been excellent since then. I thank the good Lord that he allow me the opportunity to take a second chance and really appreciate it this time. If I can help you any other way, just let me know.
