Ok I had my surgery this past August. I have lost 135 pounds roughly.  None of my family has seen me since April LAST year. I go to see them in two weeks. Boy am I weirding myself out, LOL. Yes they have seen pictures but I am still kinda hiding when I take them. I am wondering if they will be surprised, indifferent or disappointed. Not that i really care but I am just curious as to what their reactions will be. As for me being weirded out, I wonder if I could go up and knock on their doors and play a joke. Would that be cruel? LOL.

Without a doubt, they will be FLOORED when they see you, even if they've seen pictures.  Almost a year after surgery I saw my family for the holidays and seriously, they totally flipped.  To this day they still can't believe it when I see them... since they all live far away, our visits are few and far between.  Each time it's like a new shock to them that I'm slim and healthy.  After years of knowing someone one way, getting used to them in a radically different state is an ongoing process!

That being said, it's kinda fun to soak in the surprise... so enjoy and have a good visit!
