"Low BP as a result of Rapid Weight Loss"
I saw Dr. Friedman today. He told me basically all he can do is refer me to a cardiologist because he believes it is blood pressure related, but as a surgeon there isn't a whole lot he knows to do about it. I get that and respect it.
We talked for a good while and I asked his support in me just upping my sodium - I never add salt to my food and rarely cook with it unless a recipe specifically lists it. I don't eat a lot of processed foods or lunch meats. I do eat turkey pepperoni.
Anyway, he said to up my salt intake some and if I dont' feel significantly better in the next several days - week to call him so he can send me to a cardiologist.
OH!!! And that medicine that the PA prescribed for me? to regulate my blood pressure? The bariatric nurse looked it up and the NUMBER 2 MOST COMMON side effect is..... RAPID WEIGHT GAIN.
Um..... no thanks!
