Liquid diet, is this normal?

I started my liquid diet today. I am shaky, have no energy, my stomach hurts, and I have a headache. Did anyone else feel this bad off. Like I might pass out.

Yes...it is normal, it's possibly a big drop from the normal amount of both calories and carbohydrates you are probably used to.  The first day or two are really the worst and it does get easier more days you do it.

Hang in there, it's all for a good reason!

I had a hard time the first few days.  Try to stick with it though cause trust me, you want to shrink that liver.

I am not on a FULLY liquid diet yet, but I have been on a 2 shake one small meal diet for about 4 weeks now...800 calories a day.  The first week was awful...i was a total brat the whole week! Now that I'm on week four I feel wonderful.  I feel like I have so much more energy, and I feel healthy! :) Stick to it!! :)

I went through this too and found out a few things... I was not getting enough fluids (this was really rough for me to do at the begining) and also found that my blood sugar was dropping dramatically, and that my blood pressure was low. I would suggest calling your doctor - or even talk to your nut or PA to see what they recommend. Those first few were HELL! Hang in there.

Part of the problem may be low blood sugar.  try drinking small amounts of protein shake often.  Like instead of having a whole shake three times  a day, have half a shake six times a day.  So you are getting protein every few hours.  That will help keep the blood sugar even.

I felt totally horrible during my 5 day liquid diet.  Especially after I couldn't have protein shakes anymore and had to go to just clear liquids.  I felt dizzy like I would pass out especially when I was trying do anything physical.  I just had to keep reminding myself that this was just temporary.  Be strong!  You can DO IT!
