Three Days Post-Op

Left the hospital yesterday, two days after having my procedure. I told them that I couldn't take morphine so they gave me synthetic morphine with the very same results. Mood hit rock bottom. When I got home I was thinking that I'd made a very big mistake having this surgery. So dark were my feelings that my dad actually thought of staying home to keep an eye on me. Twenty-four hours later, however, I'm feeling better and my mood has improved drastically. Don't think it was a mistake at all. Doing really well, all in all.

It's great to hear that your doing well and felling better. Just always remember your not alone, most of us have all felt the same way. When I first got home from the hospital the first thing I thought was what in the heck did I get myself into? But I'm doing fine now, I'm one week post op and down 15lbs!!

Congrats, and glad you are doing  better.  I have my surgery done on the 23rd.  I am also one who cannot tolerate morphine. Makes me really nauseous.  I wonder if maybe the synthetic stuff was part of the bad mood.  Keep us posted as to how you are doing. Take care!
