So I'm one week out and I'm have tummy issues. I have been experiencing pains in my belly after I sip on any liquids and I mean sip. Has anyone every had that problem? It is so ad that I became dehydrated. I told my doctor about and he thought it was gas, but it's not. Yesterday he had had me return to the hospital for an endoscopy; which is when the stick a long tube with a camera down your throat to view your esophagus and stomach, plus I had to be put on iv for a few hours. The doctors didn't find anything wrong so now I'm stuck with this pain when I take any liquids and no one has a clue why. Ugh!
I have no answers for you, but I am hoping it gets better for you. Hang in there.

Yes Ma'am, I have tried sipping hot liquids, warm liquids, room temp liquids, and iced cold. With each one my tummy reacts the same. I'm frustrated! I can't even eat pureed foods with out it hurting. It's a pain like if you have a stomach bug or flu. I'm not getting in my 60g of protein or liquids. I'm losing weight because I can't eat or sip with out having pain 20 secs after.
I have heard that some people try different temperatures, different fluids, try everything to get in your fluids!!
Crystal light, milk, tea, broth....do you have the pain with your purees? Does yogurt hurt? Have you spoken with your dietician?? Mine has been very helpful with all kinds of suggestions.
Good luc****ep trying, don't give up.
