Bowel obstruction?

my obstruction was very obvious on my CT as well as a few other things = when constipation goes past a few days- postops need to call there surgeons and get in there quickly - bowel obstructions are nothing to fool with - it almost cost me my life and it did cost me a large part of my colon, and a year of hell

why if they did they did the xray a few weeks ago, did they just call a few days ago telling of a possible bowel obstruction?  And why didn't they tell you to come in right away?  Bowel obstructions can be fatal if left untreated.  The miralax just add bulk and that can cause your bowels to get more obstructed than before. If things arent moving, you want something more like senakot -a true laxitive, that will get things going and if not, you know it is blocked.  Or the final test would be what I did an enema - if that doesnt work, nothing will.   the severe nausea is because you have so much stool backed up in you

I do hope your surgeon is doing something about this for you. YOu really need a CT scan.
