On lunch break I went to Target.. was driving back to work and at a stop light.... and apparently the person behind me didn't see the BRIGHT red light because he plowed into the back of my car. Had to be going 30+mph! I didn't even see it coming but I sure felt it. My whole back end of my car is smashed. His car was totaled. I had whiplash and bumped the back of my head on my headrest. My back is killing me. I went to see my chiropractor this afternoon and he did x-rays.. now he is sending them to a radiologist because he sees a possible fracture on my lower back and something funny on my neck. I am so sore my whole body aches and I still have a lingering headache.

Just felt like *****ing..

Doesn't sound like *****ing to me. Sounds painful, stressful and like something to share to split the burndon.... I'd call sooner for your rental car from his insurance and get that done.

Gl on your second opinion, I hope there's nothing too bad, but i know you probably feel like dog meat.
I hope things stat going your way soon.

I am hoping to get my car to a body shop soon and into a rental. My poor car is so messed up!

Oh no, I'm so sorry... while it sounds like you ARE hurt, it definitely could have been worse.  Take care of yourself and I hope everything works out ok... :(

I thought the same thing. I am thankful that it isn't so bad. After the accident I found out that the guy had dementia bad and shouldn't have even been driving. Where the accident was, is a densely populated area of SJ, right by the jail and court house. I was thankful that he hit me and not someone walking/crossing the street. They would be dead.

I had that happen to me many years ago. I was working as a massage therapist and had my two small sons in the car with me. The boys were ok, just a touch of whiplash. I gave them massages and it helped them tremendously. I got a massage from a fellow therapist and it helped me. Of course we had medical clearance from a doctor. Ended up the lady that hit me lied about everything and then told the police a fake name etc. Seems she was illegal. The owner of the car, well the person who it was titled to, told the police he had no idea who had his car as it had been stolen but he didn't report it because he thought his cousin had borrowed it without telling him.

Huge mess, insurance company covered it all but raised their rates so high we had to cancel it. Had the same insurance company for thirty years for the whole family. Crazy.

I am glad you are ok, so to speak, as it could have been much much worse. As soon as you get medical clearance try to get a massage. They can even do chair massages where you stay fully clothed if that is an issue for you.

Take care!!

Wow, that is awful! My chiropractor said once he figures out of my back is fractured or not he wants me to start some massage therapy as well. One thing that sucks is that tylenol doesn't tough the pain/soreness. I figure it will be bad for a few days and then start getting better.
