Yes.  There is a medication called Actigall that significantly reduces the risk of gall stones.  Without Actigall, about 32% of patients will develop stones during rapid weight loss.  Wtih Actigall, only about 2% will develop stones.

I had my RNY on March 13th. Gall bladder showed fine in pre op testing. However, it went bad fast! Had it removed yesterday. Had horrible nausea and couldn't stop.
