Feeling awful!

Ever since my surgery April 9th I felt so good and until 2 days ago I have been nauseous, dizzy, week, tired, and I cut out the milk from my diet. Still I feel terrible! What could be wrong with me? Could it be the whey protein? I am lost at what it could be? Has anyone else experienced this? I'm scared to death. Am I gonna be ok?

It's probably not protein.  Did you just now start using the whey protein powder?

Are you getting enough fluids?

Are you getting enough protein?

I'm getting 60 g of protein a day and plenty of water.

Got a fever?  Any other symptoms?

You know, it could just be that you had major surgery and your body is just worn out.  But if you continue feeling badly, I would call your surgeon.  Actually, I might call now, since it's hard to get a hold of someone over the weekend.

Doesn't hurt to check with your surgeon. I found for myself that 60g of protein was not enough for me and I felt beyond wiped out. Not enough fluid left Me feeling lightheaded and dizzy and tired. It took me a while to find the right balance. Hope you feel better soon !

If nothing specific seems to be triggering this like you just started eating or drinking something new the last few days that could have caused it, it's probably something more general like your body is just having a delayed reaction and is feeling all of those things now, which many feel right away after surgery. Have you been especially busy the last few days and/or not getting enough fluids? I drink a G2 almost every day and for awhile I had cut them out, but I was getting dizzy frequently when I stood up. When I added the G2 back in, I've noticed a huge improvement and also just from upping my fluids from 64oz to 80oz has also helped. Have you been getting in the same amount of protein and calories the last few days? If you're concerned, you should call your dr and they can probably help you get to the bottom of it better since you're talking in-person :-).
