Saladworks
so I have not eaten out much since my surgery 6 1/2 weeks ago. There is a saldworks in town and I am thinking of going there.
For those who have tried saladworks after surgery, what do you find is the best to ordfer to stick to the diet? Which dressings are allowed, if any at all.
My guess is:
-salad will last 2-3 meals
-ask for extra chicken / turkey
-avoid gassy veggies
-any fat free sugar free dressing on the side

I get the Tivoli salad and ask for them to omit the pasta and get reduced fat parmesan peppercorn dressing on the side.
And I am vehemently AGAINST the DDP methodology (dip don't pour dressing). I simply ask them to go light on the dressing and toss it in. At home I toss my measured amounts of dressing into my salad. It all gets coated and I actually eat LESS than if I dip.

OMG I love salad - after my surgery I could not wait to have one I craved it so bad. I had no issues eating one and I do very very well with raw veggies. Salads Rule, just sayin'

I couldn't eat salad for a long, long time. It wasn't on my plan and it was just too difficult to get in enough protein early on - let alone think of salad. Caution - 6 1/2 weeks is really early out to be eating salad. And really , really early to be eating out because one bite of the wrong thing early out and pouches rebel easily.
