I love animals also. My babies are 2 cats, 4 dogs, 2 geese, 1 turkey, 34 hens, 4 roosters, 5 goats, and 3 horses. I cannot wait till I loose enough to comfortably ride horses again. I gave up on goats milk, I didnt have the energy and couldn't milk without being in pain. So hopefully by the end of the summer I can breed the girls for spring babies and start milking next year again. I used to barrel race and hang out at the local Gymkanna. I would love to be able to do that again!!!

Do you have the white geese?  We had 3 when I was growing up - Pete, Lucky and whatever the other female's name was. They would chase us out of the pasture, mean!!!  We had one Tom turkey we named Mr. T ... you could just call his name and he would strut for you lol.

Oh I love riding now!  I even rode my little Buddy horse back the first of April.  The equine rescue sponsored a trail ride with 10 obstacles - I picked Bud up from the trainer on Wednesday and rode him through the obstacles on Saturday , he was flawless.  I don't trust my riding ability enough to barrel race though!

My geese are the tan and brown. Janpanese or something. They are huge, and loud and yes, they chase me. I usually keep them and the mean turkey penned up together. I let them out to play sometimes in the big back part of the yard. But they will chase me, and so will the turkey. The turkey loves my husband. And used to like me, till I went out to feed one morning in my flowered pjs. Since then he has hated me with a passion. lol.
I cannot wait to ride again. I dream of riding sometimes, then I wake up and get discouraged. My mare Nadia is a buckskin. With long black stockings and some striping at the tops. She is my soul sister. If I am having a bad day, I go out and brush her. Just the sight of her calms me down. I love her so much. Nadia is a quarterhorse. We also have a Tennesee Walker X Arab cross stallion named Griffin. He is my husbands horse. He will only let my husband ride him. Otherwise he leaps and bucks till you come off. And we have a tri color paint pony named Lucy. We got her for my nephews and neices. But they hardley come out here anymore. She and Nadia are getting to be good friends.

Japanese Toulouse I think they are?  If so , they are beautiful creatures.

Don't get discouraged, the first time I rode in at least 8yrs was the evening I "test drove"  Titan. I was walking on clouds for DAYS.  Everytime I climb up on him without needing a step or pulling the saddle off, I feel like I could fly.

You can and will get there!!!

In Ohio you can only buy chicks six at a time. Used to be able to buy live adults in the city before I-71 came through and took the store.
I'm not admitting to the number of cats we have. Suffice it to say that when I call the vet I never identify myself. They know my voice.

He he.  I'm not sure my vets know my name, but they know my cats.  If I call and say Cayenne needs to be seen, they know just who I mean.  I think they should give me a volume discount.

One feedstore only allows you to buy 6 or more here, but the others you can just get how ever many. Pretty rural so not too much concern about Easter chicks being dumped or something.

HAHA  my vet knows me by name as well.  They say they are going to hire me part-time as their marketing / PR person because I have referred so many people to them.  My dog Rio LOVES to go to the vet - it is the only place I can't make him settle down and behave.

Love them!!   They are good therapy and motivation to move -  critters don't care if it is cold / hot / rainy etc , they want to be fed, walked, turned out.

i have one cat, i'm pretty sure she's a mix of everything lol, some tabby, calico, and some sort of long-hair. dolce. she's 6, got her when she was around 3 months old from a farm store where farmers dump their kittens when they have too many barn cats. since she wasn't as much of a baby as the other kittens they had, she was free. she's the sweetest cat (at least to me). sleeps next to me every night and rests her paw on my arm. it's too cute. i also somehow taught her how to give kisses if i pucker at her or ask her for  a kiss. she's a super fat kitty and i love her to death.
