TOTALLY OT: Pets
My dog Lucy wants to hang out with Frank.
She from the Fier family..aka Lucifier.
I got her 3 months after Rny and she keeps me moving. She adores me and sleeps under the covers with me every night.
I love my little satan dog.
I have a cat who hates me but loves the rest of the family. I'm okay with that.

I will personally deliver Frankenstein to your door!! LOL
The "bad" ones end up stealing my heart (and my shoes, books,.....).
LOL I don't know how I ended up with FOUR cats, I like them ok, but not 4 cats worth!
had to edit I love my kitties... I just wouldn't choose to have more than 1.
Well, I guess I would since I have 4, but you know what I mean

Ok - here goes....I have 17 (yes 17) cats - all fixed and all rescue. I am currently doing their yearly check ups to the vet - I take them in 4-4-4-5 so they are manageable. They really are my babies.
Wolfie came from a back yard colony that got out of control and he's my old man at 18. He has a heart murmur that really has never caused any issues. Sweet white with black and gray tabby markings.
Charlie and Olivia (brother and sister) were found downtown. They are a tuxedo and torti, respectively. They are 15 and Charlie has a high heart rate so he is on a beta blocker. Livy has some arthritis but we manage with some laser heat treatments.
Porthos and Savannah (brother and sister) are gray tabbies and found in York PA on the street. They are very cuddly. We were able to find homes for their siblings.
Sela is the next - she is a torti and has arthritis in her elbows. The laser treatments don't do much for her so we've built ramps and things so she can get on and off the bed without jumping. She's a bit of a fatty. She did have one instance of bladder stones that we had to have surgically removed but with a diet change she does well and hasn't had a repeat problem.
Then we have Winter - the hubby brought her home - she's a beauty all white with one blue and one gold eye. She has a heart murmer as well and needs to take beta blockers.
Next up is Tibby - he is a seal point maine coon mix - a BIG boy at 19 lbs - all muscle. He doensn't have too many issues - but did have some weird inner ear infection that needed surgery as well. It would not heal and had to be dug out - gross!!!. He also has a fast heart rate and takes a beta blocker (glad these are a Walmart 90 days for $10. script) He is adorable but VERY shy - I think that's why no one wanted him.
Grace and Jack (brother and sister) were found in the dumpster where I work - they are extremely shy and skittish because we weren't able to catch them until they were probably 16 weeks old. They had become a bit wild by that point. We were able to find homes for their brother and sister (Will and Karen) but these two were way to shy to get homes. They are a tuxedo and a white with black and gray tabby markings. Jack is a fatty too - very cute.
Next are Emma and Samatha - (mother and daughter) found on the highway. We found homes for the other 5 kittens. These two are adorable. Emma is sort of a blond/brown - long hair tabbly and Samantha is a black and gray tabby with lovely markings.
Up next is Xena - she is a torti that lives up to her name.
Roxanne came next - she is a tuxedo. We had a major problem last year with Roxie - she had a bad reaction to some medicine and stopped eating. When kitties stop eating their livers can 'shut down' and they then have life threatening issues. To make a long story short - we had to have a feeding tube inserted into her esophogus and feed her every 3-4 hours for 2 weeks until she started eating on her own again. That was a scary time. We had to go back and forth to the vet every day while we went to work. Then we'd pick her up in the evening and take the evening/night shifts.
Now Dusty and Solitaire - (brother and sister) all gray with gold eyes with a green ring around each pupil. They were from the Walmart parking lot. They are cuties - very young and very rambuctious.
and finally - Wednesday - she came from a friend who was going to put her down - she peed in the house. She also has stomatitis (where their teeth are sort of rejected by their bodies and rot out). She is VERY VERY shy. Basically her brother at my friends house bullied her and she has become very anxious. We keep her separated from the other kitties for her comfort and I've been working with her. She now comes out for petting. We had to have what few teeth she had left removed (expect for her fangs) because they were so rotted but she does very well without them. She's probably in a lot less pain too.

Those guys are so very fortunate to have adopted you!! I have a friend who takes in strays, gets them fixed up and vaccinated. Some she keeps ( I think she bounces between 17-21 cats) and the really wild one she releases at a friend's house way out in the woods - they leave a shed door open and put out dry food.
People wonder why I spend so much money on my pets... and I wonder why they wonder? Where else will I get such non-judgemental, unconditional, fully devoted love?

What I find astounding is when people ask me if I know all there names - or if they have names. Are you kidding ME??? Of course they have names and of course I know them.
I live on a busy road so mine are indoor only and these are the ones that no one wanted to adopt.
I am at my limit right now with space but I do have an arrangement with the vet where I pay the medicals and he will house and show them for me in the lobby if I find (or someone dumps) kitties with me. Everyone looks for the cute kitten and no one wants to invest the time into an adult shy cat. It's disappointing.
