I have a copuple more weeks to go and I was crying most of the day too. Let's see, I miss my Gram who passed (she raisied me), Survivor made me cry and Desperate Housewives...wow. I'll be right next to you in the looney bin with our cryings jags. I think we are just preparing mentally and physically for this huge change. A change we need to make for ourselves and no one else. Sometimes I think it makes you feel lonley, like you are on your own with this (even with the support of our families) That's why I love this site. It makes me feel "normal" when I hear about others experiencing the same things as me. Best of luck on a speedy recovery. I can't wait to sit next to you on the losers bench!

I got out of the hospital last year on Mother's Day.  Best present ever.  Only 2 days to go to your best present ever.  It's worth it.  Try to the let emotions roll through you.  You can't (and shouldn't stop) them.  It's all part of the process.  Don't expect your husband to have the answers... I would tell mine, "just keep loving me."  Mine put up with a lot that weekend and the day I came home.  He was dealing with his own lack of sleep and trying to be supportive while I often pushed him away and at times was not real nice to him.  A year later, he still loves me and things have calmed down a lot.

Bridie_53 you will be on the losers bench before you know it!  Have faith.  You are finally getting to this milestone in your life that you have been waiting for.  If you are totally confident with your hospital and your surgeon you will be fine.  It is very normal to have these concerns that you are having.  I think most people do.  It sounds like your husband will be by your side and will help you through this process.  There may be a few rough days in your future but nothing you cannot handle.  It is a different experience for everyone.  There are no two of us alike.  I will offer up some prayers for you that everything will go great.  God Bless.  Please keep us posted - we will be anxious to hear how good you did!  FoxyMomMa
