Salt. How weird is that? Well, I am on day 2 post op. All went very well according ot my surgeon. I am stating a second night due to pain issues, + I had a horrible reaction (although pretty common) to the dilauded. Had to go on benadryl too for the severe itching!

WAITING TO FART! KNOW THAT IF do my tum will feel better I am walking and walking and drinking ice water Does not bother my pouch yet. Surgeon told me he was so glad I did this because my liver was so fatty that I would have def had health issues in a few year. Iwill sty in touch. Hey, malenurse78 how is it going?

Everything tasted weird the first few weeks. Hang in there, soon Jello will taste like Jello again. But of course by then you'll be quite sick of it!

Glad you're doing well other than the med rxn. Happy farting!

Going pretty good, very little pain at this point, felt like i was going to walk my legs off the first few days trying to get the gas out, but now all is well. I am so jealous that you get to eat Jell-o I dont get to start that until tomorrow, but the liquids are very nice after going 3 days with no liquids other than I.V. fluids. But I did feel bad for 2 other people that had the same surgury the same day as i did with a different surgon, both of them failed their leak test according to my doctor. So all in all everything is great. I am so sorry to hear about your reaction! But I am glad that for the most part everything seems to be going well for you. And just keep walking and the gas will come on out.

Post op I found everything to be to salty or sweet.  Plus couldn't stand any protein powder.  I can't remember how many brands of bottled water it took to find one I could drink.  Now everything has settled down and these issues are behind me.

I am just curious to know about the gas as well. I am 3 days post op. I am burping and farting quite well lol. Still seems there is so much gas still in there. How long do you still feel the gas pains? Funny thing is I can feel when I am full from my protein shakes and I can get all my fluids in with no problem but I feel hungry at times. Any suggestions?
