I try and try but the scale doesn't want to budge, anyone else long term post op dealing with...
I'm right there with you! Doing just about the same things as you are (about 1500 calories, treadmill, etc) and my body is sticking at 151.5. It will not go lower. I'm learning to accept it because I don't want to starve myself just to get to some magical number on the scale. If my body decides to drop a few more pounds, I'll be thrilled, but I'm not going to pu****
I had my surgery in 2009..I have not gained anymore weight after my post surgery loss..but I cant loose anymore either.
I do my protein shakes , low carbs(Atkins) meal ideas and 30 minutes a day...every day on the treasdclimber ..I mean come on!!!!!!! I cant get a break here .....I have been as frustrated as well
I hate to be a "Debbie Downer" but this very well may be why alot of long term post op folks get the DS switch...........a

Ms Cat
I often wondered where the real me has been? I then decided where the real me is going!!!
I'm so glad to see I'm not alone. . I use to only allow myself to weigh no more than once a week, sometimes once a month but lately out of frustration I seem to get on it more than I should. I need to hide the scale or something lol.
I'll just have to step it up. I'd be happy even losing the 5 pounds that I added since we moved. That's what is the most difficult for me, when we moved I gained 3 pounds from eating out and never got it off, and now I've gained 2 since our traveling at Christmas and "breaking my rules" at my mother in laws house. It's really my own fault. At least I'm maintaining at my current and the scale isnt going up. I need to stop stressing over it.
I found out last night that the military hospital has surgeons and a bariatric nurse just for follow ups (a big piece of info my old doctor left out), so when I get in with her I'll ask about the option of seeing a nutritionist familiar with rny to see maybe where else I can make some changes.
