I screwed up, help needed

By the way, the liquid diet the day before and no food by mouth for 12 hours before , have, I believe, as much to do with the anesthesia as  what the doc is operating on.  Before almost ANY surgery, including surgery on your limbs...in no way connected to your intestinal tract....you are advised to eat lightly the day before and nothing after midnight.  I understand that it has to do with no wanting you to vomit and risk aspirating it, if you have a bad reaction to the anesthesia.

I completely understand and like someone else said, it doesn't get easier.  I was downright MAD after surgery that I couldn't eat the things I wanted.  It still doesn't make me happy sometimes, although it has gotten easier.  I didn't realize I was so addicted to food either, until I had surgery...now I see that food really had control of me!!! 

Good luck with your surgery!  In a week you will be doing so much better!
