Paid a visit to Divas, the local plus size consignment shop. Went straight to the rack I always shop from. While I was looking through the clothes there the owner walked up behind me and warned, "Those clothes won't fit you anymore, Rebecca." I told her that I believed they would because my lower belly was still so big. Then I picked out three tops and went into the try-on room. There I learned she had been right. All three tops were much too big, even around my lower belly! I then went to the next rack which was 1-2 sizes down and chose three more tops and all three of those tops fit me perfectly (Well, one is actually a little large through the bust but fits everywhere else.). When I carried them up to the cash register, the owner couldn't help pointing out that she had been right! It's one of the few times when I was actually glad someone said, "I told you so!"

I love it!  Thanks for sharing.  I've always donated my clothes to charity but this time would like to use the local resale shops so I can save up to buy new clothes when I need them.  I've been saying my pants fit better but that I can still wear most of them.  One of my friends laughed and said, "Really Barb? Look in the mirror".  So I gave myself a good look and the outfit I had on was hanging off my shoulders and the pants were real baggy.  They have a string at the waist and I had pulled it as tight as I could.  We had a good laugh and I've now started putting such clothes in a bag.  I had bought some clothes off a sale rack last year that were a size to small and am able to wear them so I am getting smaller.  Feels good doesn't it!
