I have my first appointment on Monday - whaaa hooo. I am very excited about starting my wls process. What should I expect? I was told I meet with the nutritionist for an hour and then the psych for 2 hours.

Did the surgeon give you an idea of when you could likely have surgery?  What's is his start-to-surgery timeline like?  Mine is 3 mos but I haven't started yet (3 more wks to the day!).

Yahooo!  Good for you.  Sooooooooooooo excited.

Elizabeth- Mine is also 3 months...so I am figuring from the 18th (my first appt) - so it would likely be Sept 18th timeframe. I am glad I don't have to wait 6 months like some do. It will go really fast. I really wanted it around then, that way at Christmas time, I will have lost a little and feel somewhat better. I hope yours goes smooth. When is your first appointment?

I just went through this process and had surgery the 6th. My first appt I saw the doc, psych, nut, and a trainer. I was sent for bloodwork and appt made for upper gi, I already had a sleep study done so I didn't need that. I saw all 4 for 3 months including first appt. and was scheduled and did pre-op on my last appt and had surgery 2 weeks later. Hope your goes this smoothe!!!!!!!

WOW..that sounds like it went fast for you too. I hope it goes as smooth as yours. I am a very impatient person. When I talked with the nurse at the center I am going to- she told me pretty much what you just went through. I don't think i have to do a sleep study though.
