NSV - biggest one so far
So, last October, my son and I went to a local theme park with another mother and son. This is a place I grew up going to. I was unable to ride the newest roller coaster, because the "try out" seat didn't turn "green" when I pulled the shoulder restraint over me - I was too huge for it to come down far enough. I was mortified, and so depressed, but luckily at that time I had my surgery scheduled, so I made it through but had to fight back the tears and cried myself to sleep that night. I couldn't fit on many of the rides - didn't even try because I knew it wouldn't work.
Today, at 90 lbs lighter, I rode ALL the damn rides I wanted to - including that roller coaster I couldn't fit on last year, and another one that has even LESS space for riders. I rode them comfortably, didn't have to squeeze in or anything.
I am so happy today.
I Thank GOD for this surgery. At just under 5 months out, my quality of life has improved so much. 6 1/2 hours today at that theme park. Not a single back pain, not a single problem with stamina. Just so happy... :)
