Do you know anything about the inositol or Cholin (sp?) that someone else recommended?

Someone posted in another biotin discussion that biotin also causes, or can cause, facial hair growth.

Yeah. My beard is coming in nicely...at the same rate hair is leaving my scalp. Like everything else, it's all shifting downhill. Beard doesn't need any help and scalp can wear a wig, scarf, or fabulous hat.

Oy...I need a head transplant.

Hair loss after surgery - any surgery is a given. We lose hair for a couple reasons but after surgery anesthesia and starvation mode are the biggest things. Biotin helps some but you're still going to lose some hair. You don't go bald - it thins out a bit. It lasts somewhere from the 4-10 month post op perios and you'll probably be the only one that notices. I figured nobody would notice my hair if they were looking at the "shrinking me" so I never worried about it. Many cut their hair shorter to make it look thicker, a new style may help it look better but it does grow back and in most cases comes back in better than it was before.

I didn't want to take the extra biotin because of the facial hair growth. No thanks!

Mine thinned out big time, but I wear a wig for now. Two weeks ago is when other people started noticing it too, so I decided to just use a wig. No problem. No one can tell. I posted pics on my profile with my wig.
