RNY may 31 and back in hospital....

Spiked fever and chills Thursday returned to hospital, had emergency surgery thursday night still unable to keep anything down, on TPN and pain meds.

The first few days were great, now not a happy person!

I hope that you will be feeling better soon. I too had a couple of setbacks right after surgery, it is no fun!

Oh goodness-so sorry you are going through this! What surgery did they do on you? I'm assuming it was a complication from the RNY?

Was it an infection from the surgery? Hope it was not anything more serious... Get well soon...

It is an infection from surgery, I'm being sent home with a pic line and home health in a few days. It started as what they think was a small leak ened up being a abscess the size of my surgeons fist.
They in served a Stent to keep my esophagus from getting smaller at the connection hitch will have to be removed.
