ok so i had my period the week before surgery, and i was told that i could except to bleed somemore after. BUT on monday it will be 6 weeks and i still havent stop bleeding, how long have you ladies went?? im startng to get a lil nervous. so i have been bleeding for 7 weeks now pretty much and i have only stopped for maybe one day here and there but it starts right back up.

You've been bleeding for 7 weeks and you haven't thought to call your doctor? This is very abnormal. I'd be making some calls right now, if I were you. I hope you can get some answers.

I was bleeding - but it was more like "heavy spotting" for 2 months... Hated that... Had tests done - all was normal - my hormones show too high estrogen and not enough progesterone...

Well ok - before you freak out do you have PCOS? It's very common with PCOS to skip periods and therefore there is a build up when you actually have your period. So, this might be the cause of that or if you have naturally irregular periods.

Now, with that being said you might make yourself anemic and iron deficient so you should be taking an iron supplement.

Call your doctor but I've had a period one time for over a month and half ended up anemic and had to take iron. It's a bigger deal now Pre-op cause you don't want your Iron to go to low.

yea i tried calling but the already closed for the day ?! witch is stupid. ive heard people bleed for awhile so i wasnt to freaked out til now cuz it hasnt stopped

They are closed for the week. The doc is on vacation. All who is there is just the insurance person.

I would call the dr. If you cant get your OB then call your surgeon. Some insurances even have a nurse line you can call. I didnt bleed after my surgery. but my mirena stopped my periods. But definantly get ahold of someone.

Are you on birth control pills, I am 6 years out and till this day can not take them. If I do I bleed non-stop was taking 3 a day at one point. If you are on the pill it may not be absorbing properly causing you to bleed. Or maybe it is a change in your hormonse it went through a lot.

is it like your heavy days or more like intense spotting? my cycle was crazy for a few months, where my periods would last almost 3 weeks, it's slowly getting back to normal.
