Forget the stupid post, im so very sorry for sharing a recipe that is not wls friendly.
As I told someone else, yes, I know. I was more worried about my kid getting something to eat last night. I had a tiny bit of the tuna with the cheese and few peas. I was just happy to find something so fast and quick that she enjoyed so much. And my husband insists on a few boxes of mac and cheese in the house. As much as my diet/life has changed - his has not, and he told me straight up he will forgo the potato chips and pretzles and candy BUT DONT TOUCH THE MAC AND CHEESE. lol

I'm 34 and still think my parents make the best sandwich. It's that little bit of love parents add that make things extra tasty.

One of the biggest things to keep the weight from falling off, IMHO, is to keep eating the processed foods. They are filled with carbs, salt, junk.......... If you read alot of posts, you will notice a pattern in the people that have experienced regains. The pattern.....starting to eat bad carbs...you know...bread, rice, potatoes, crackers, chips, cookies......... so learn from the experience of others and stay away from that stuff!
There are many alternatives if you must have something that seems carby.......use zucchini instead of lasagna noodles, spaghetti squash instead of noodles, shirtaki noodles........ your stomach isn't that big anymore and really, you need to fill it with the good stuff and toss the bad stuff.
OK...off the podium now... Have a great day!!!

You did well by only eating a bite or two. I cooked a box for the g.child months ago; had a bite. Used to love it....now...just doesn`t taste the same! And that is a GOOD for me, IMHO!!
Good for you for stopping at the small amount you did!!! And I still cook too much food and send tubs home to my `kids`- 29-35 yrs old. Hey, what can you say!!!
Don`t be upset that people are concerned that you are eating it.... a lot of people, after surgery, think they can continue eating the things that made them fat in the first place. The people, me included, that commented, just want you to be sure you know what you `should` and `should not`be eating. I have seen people post...`when can I eat the mashed potatoes and gravy`..... when can I have ..... blah, blah, without understanding the `bad white carbs`are a major weight gainer.
So take it as people care and are concerned for you and are not against you! You go girl on your journey!!!

My family loves this recipe. They think of it as comfort food.

You ever notice warm tuna is a love it or hate it deal?
I love it. My girls hate it. My oldest is diametrically opposed to peas (the younger one and I love them).
Making us all a meal we like is like a damn UN negotiation.
Yeesh!
Nothing to do with your recipe. I see you got sort of frustrated with the feedback you got.
I wanted to add the recipe can easily be adapted.
Use whole wheat noodles instead of regular, use cheese instead of cheesy powder (or I like lowfat cheese soup) and everything else is not that bad. I personally can't stomach pasta so I'd be more inclined toward spaghetti squash and...
HEY...
You just gave me an idea.
Anyhoo...that's sort of the process you have to go through after WLS. Thinking of what you would ordinarily make and re-doing it. That's all.
