2nd appointment

I just got back from my 2nd appointment at the bariatric center. I got my labs done, EKG, Lung function test, BMI/measurements, and BEFORE PICTURE :( taken. I got orders for a chest xray to do before I come in next on the 10th of July. I am on the road to a new life. It seems like it is going so fast already. From last Monday's appt. I lost 4 lbs. I am supposed to lose 15 lbs before surgery- which is probably going to be late September, early Oct. The next appointment will be with the nut and doc. Anyone else just starting out with me? I would love to hear from you.

I'm right behind you. First mtg with PCP on 7/2 to start 3 month insurance-required diet. First mtg with surgeon on 7/3. Meeting with NUT on 7/10.  Can't believe you are getting all of that stuff done so quickly.  Wowee- you're not joking that it seems to be going so fast already.  It IS!  I'll probably be late Oct, early November.  So happy!

Sounds like yours will go fast too! I am glad we don't have to do a 6 month thing for the insurance. I almost cried when they took measurements today...the nurse said - "just think, the next time I take these, it will be totally different- on a happier note". I am very happy about that! Then taking the picture- that was a bitter sweet moment too. I thought to myself- this is the last time I will take a picture at this weight! I just feel so huge. I am very excited to be starting this journey. I am happy for you too.
