Could this be a stricture?
I tried to eat filet mignon on Friday night (I am 6 weeks out), I cut really small and chewed really well. It did not stay down. In fact, I even had that horrible vomiting where your stomach muscles spasm, I figured ok, since this was the second time I tried this I would stay away from beef. Saturday morning I tried to eat an egg over easy, 3 bites of egg white and it felt stuck. I had the foamies too. Went to a graduation party late afternoon, tried one meatball with sauce, very tender, 4 small bites-felt stuck. Did not vomit though.
Sunday morning tried a protein shake and vomited. Then tried an egg again, it went down better. But spent the next couple of hours trying to puke it up. I thought maybe that horrible vomiting on Friday irritated my stoma and pouch so just stuck with water and a double protein shake Sunday night. When liquid goes down, its almost like a funnel(that is what it feels like inside) and there is lots of bubbling.
This morning made my protein drink(vanilla nectar, water, and orange crystal light) Going fine, but the funnel feeling and bubbling. Just now I tried to eat some black refried beans with melted cheese. 4 small bites and it feels stuck.
What do you think? Irritation or stricture? Should I call?

You should definitely call and let the surgeon's office know you are having issues. It could very well be irritation; are you vomiting after the food gets stuck? My doc's office says to wait 24 hours after a stuck/vomiting episode before eating anything in order to calm the irritation (protein drinks/water only). Since you kept trying food, it could just be irritation.
I had to be scoped twice for strictures. In my experience, stuck food/vomiting were not an all-at-once occurance but gradually occurred over a series of weeks until even liquids were a struggle to keep down.

It could definitely be a stricture. That doesn't mean it is. But it could be. Call your surgeon today.
