I am just over 16 months post op and especially the last few months I have been beyond exhausted.  I feel I never can sleep enough. I never sleep straight thru the night, usually up every hour.  Even if I don't do anything I feel like I am very wore out and have no energy to do anything :(  Has anyone else been thru this?  I would ask my dr.. but I can't get a dang appt for another month and then will have to wait hours once I get there.. ugh.  Thanks for any advice!

TIA

I'm still pre-op.  But I just had my nutrition class and they said that that could be a sign of a protein deficiency.  They also mentioned depression and feeling tired all the time as well.  Hope you feel better soon.

How were your labs the last time you had them done?  Iron? Vitamin D?  B-Vitamins?  As for not sleeping through the night, do you know if you snore?  If someone sleeps with you, ask them if you snore really loud or if you ever seem to stop breathing for a few seconds.  You may have sleep apnea, and that would make you tired during the day as well.

Those are my ideas.  Best of luck to you!

I agree with the protein and having it checked....but could you be pregnant?  Sorry, but i know that was one of my first signs....though I always stayed tired because I am heavy and chalked it up to that!    Take care!   sherry

How were your one year post op labs?  Iron, ferritin?  D?  B12?  Are you getting enough protein?

What's waking you up every hour?
