Need to vent about poor fashion choices post wls
I am a very casual person and love jeans and t-shirts most of the time. But I have to be honest, I am looking very forward to wearing a lot of cute shoes like heals and pin-up style clothing on occasion. Being 36, I may be able to get away with it.

VSG on 02/03/12
Hey guys
I have recently lost almost all the way down to goal but I had a VSG. I just happened to be browsing the forums. Regardless of which weight loss surgery we chose, we all (or almost all) of us have an issue with excess skin. I had some already from pregnancies before VSG. I am almost down to goal at this point and finally purchasing jeans that I intend to keep. I plan on losing another 10-15 lbs. I bought some very cute Gap jeans that are regular cut and legs and they look nice with no button top. However, I ordered a pair of Old Navy short ladies jeans that I didn't realize were low rise. This was the first pair of jeans i ordered that fit kind of weirdly where my muffon top kind of hangs over. I wasn't expecting that. They fit nicely everywhere and even in the waist they are loose but I noticed the skin kind of hangs over. This was the first time I've encountered that LOL. It was interesting. I will NOT show any skin but I realized I at least need some shape wear. I ordered a shapewear garment off of Ebay just today. The only way I figure I can wear the low rise jeans is to just wear a loose t-shirt that doesn't accentuate my stomach area or I can wear the shapewear garment. I don't want my skin rolls hanging out only because I'm personally not comfortable with it. I don't mind seeing someone with a muffin top at all as long as they have a shirt covering their parts :-) I probably won't be ordering any more low rise jeans (which I did not intend on doing) lol. Other than that, the pants are cute.
This is an awkward place to be. I am realizing that shopping for clothes is going to be different for me now. I may need to address the skin one day but for now I am not going to worry about it except for shapewear. I really don't want the pain from a tummy tuck in my life right now. The recovery is a b*tch and I would have to go to Mexico to even afford it :-)
