Without fail, I vomit every single day.  Sometimes it's more like a productive burp, other times it's full on retching and my pouch locks up.  I do have an ulcer and have been taking my meds for that.  I am nauseated most of the time and I know I'm not getting in near what I should be on fluids and protein.

Any ideas?  I don't want to fail and I don't want to hurt my body!

you need to call your doc and see what they want you to do.
What are you eating when you vomit?
is it at the same time every day?
could your vitamins be the cause of nausea?
just because you are taking the meds to prevent an ulcer does not mean you don't have one.
Best wishes

I do have an ulcer.  THey did a scope last month.

I did call the surgeon again.  They told me to get my protein in.  Kind of hard to do when you feel yucky.

Are you on meds for your ulcer?  Have you tried several different proteins?  My favorite at this point is Caribean cooler and mango peach crystal light in lots of water.  Maybe something fruity would be better than a shake type.

Be careful!  I just got out of the hospital due to ulcers and not getting in enough fluids and protein.  Do they give you anything for nausea?  I have it to take as needed to help in getting in the fluids and protein.  Remember, it doesn't take long for you to get into trouble with deyhdration, etc. now.   Believe me, it can happen faster than you think!

please call your doc asap. I had the same thing happen and it turned out that my esophagas had narrowed and everything was getting stuck. I was in pain when i ate or drank and felt like I could throw up all the time. My doc didnt believe me and finally did an EGD. He had to go in and stretch the opening several times. Gradually i have felt better but still eating mushey foods almost 7 weeks since surgery. Please keep calling the do****il he does something. It is not normal what you are going thru. I will keep you in my prayers,,,hang in there!!!
