What were the 3 things you were looking forward to most?
I have my first revision appointment August 20th (from band to bypass). I am so excited and just wish the 20th will get here already. I have one more week of school ( I attended the summer semester then Im off for a week and then going to Gatlinburg for a week and then back to school. I would so push fast forward and skip all of that just to get to August 20th. I find myself the most nervous about the surgery itself (complications) Im not to scared about the after. I had prepared myself so much for so many changes after the band that never happend because I have never had restriction. So now Im actually kind of excited to follow a plan and start making changes. Now to the topic. I find myself constantly thinking about the things Im most excited about after and while losing my weight and was just wondering what everyone else was thinking before their surgery.
1. Feeling better. Im only 24 and my body hurts 24/7. My legs, my back, my neck, my knees. Also excited to get a good nights sleep without tossing and turning all night.
2. Clothes!!! I have never been able to wear the kind of clothes I have wanted I have always just settled.
3. Going to amusment parks and braves games with friends becasue now I cant fit in the seats.

1. Being able to shop at regular stores.
2. Being able to move more comfortably, like being able to bend over and tie my shoes comfortably.
3. Being able to take bubble baths - at my heaviest I was too big to fit in the tub.

1. Not being embarrassed about shopping
2. Fitting comfortably into airplane seats
3. Having more confidence....although I am not sure this has happened. I still have days that I wonder if my mind will ever stop seeing my body as fat.
Good luck to you! There are so many positives that it is hard to remember which were most important!

1. Feeling better when moving, sitting, doing really anything, even buying/wearing clothes, because of having that burden of all those extra pounds gone.
2. Being capable of doing more with my child.
3. Not facing public humilation, and always feeling ashamed of how I look. I'm almost down enough weight to post a picture of myself. Wasn't ready to do that, until everyone could see the "real me" who was hidden under all the fat.
