Anyone tried this?  Heard anything about it?  I gotta get my calcium and D3 in and considering this.  I just cannot do the chews and I'm gagging on the Citracal petites.

It contains both calcium citrate, which we absorb well, and tricalcium phosphate, which we don't absorb.  I'm not sure how much you'd need to take in order to get 1500-2000 mg calcium citrate.

Have you tried Upcal D?  It's a powder you can put in any drink and it has no taste.  It is all calcium citrate.

Kelly - how much calcium can you absorb at a time?  I was told only 250mg and 2 hours apart.  So that means I would have to take 8-10 of the supplements I am talking now... doing the math, I would be waking up in the middle of the night to take my calcium (for the record - that's not gonna happen...LOL)

The ASMBS says we can absorb 500-600 mg at a time, as do many other sources.

How far apart do you take them? (since I have to take like 10 of these suckers)

Needs to be two hours (or more).

What flavor is it?  What do you typically mix it with?  Where can you purchase it?

It has no flavor.  I usually put it in a protein shake but if I'm not having a shake, I put it in tea or in yogurt.  It does not change the flavor of the drink or yogurt or whatever at all.

I get mine online from Colonial Medical.  I think you can get it from Amazon, too.  It's reasonably priced, I think.

She says you can absorb tricalcium phosphate?  What is she basing that on?
