Wellesse Calcium & Vitamin D3
Nutritionists can be just anyone. We need calcium CITRATE. The calcium in this mix isn't fully CITRATE, are you taking enough so that you get the recommended amount of CITRATE?
If she's right, your bones are fine, and her bones are fine with her normal digestive tract. If she's wrong, her bones are still fine, but yours will crumple into dust.
To my way of thinking, this one is a no-brainer. Choose the one statistically proven to have maximum effectiveness for our specific digestive system. Otherwise you're gambling your bones that your nut is right. By the time you realize she might have been wrong, she won't be the one breaking an arm or a leg when you bump into something.
Is it really worth it to choose a calcium that doesn't have the data to back it up as the most effective? Really?

But do people really love calcium carbonate or tricalcium phosphate so much that they are willing to take the risk? Do people really love Flintstones so much that they cannot give them up even if they might not have everything they need? Why not just play it safe?

They love to package things to be misleading. Look at Caltrate...sounds like CALcium ciTRATE but instead it's CALcium carbonATE (don't know where the middle TR comes from)

You could also call the manufacturer and see if they will tell you how much citrate is in it, as opposed to the tricalcium phosphate.

Thanks, Kelly!
That's a great idea about calling the manufacturer. I will try and make time to do that and if I get any info from them, I will post it!

That's a good suggestion, I never even thought of that, I was just going to give it away!
That's a very good point as far as marketing goes and you are absolutely right. A lot of the packaging is very misleading.
Looks like I am going to order the Upcal D powder and than I won't have to worry about it!
