it's not an issue of 'can't' across the board.  every doctor has different guidelines.  mine says it's ok but to limit.  I don't like the grip caffiene had on me in the past so i refuse to drink it now. (although i've never liked coffee).  i know people who have had seriously strong reactions to caffiene (similar to dumping).

My Nut said that it is ok but not to take to with my vitamins because it effects the absorption somehow..also she said that it can dehydrate you so drink extra fluids..I have to have my morning coffee. I just use splenda and sugar free hazelnut creamer.

I heard caffeines not good for the pouch? I drink decaf ice coffee w a scoop of protein powder everyday around 10am. It keeps my fluids and protein levels up! Doesn't bother me but I'm not sure what the science is? I do know that I will never be a slave to caffeine again!!!! I love not feeling a caffeine or sugar drop😄

We can have regular coffee.

Some people choose not to drink caffeine because they think it might cause dehydration (several studies say it won't, though), it might aggrevate an ulcer, it can interfere with the absorption of certain vitamins like calcium and iron, it can cause anxiety and insomnia, and other reasons.  Other people choose to drink it.
