Upper GI Study
So I called my doctor this morning (or I should say his office), he is in surgery, not bariatric on Mondays so I had to leave a message about my puking all weekend and the symptoms of my narrowing returning. Get a call back this afternoon from the office " Dr.wants you to have an upper GI. His scheduler is out of the office today so she will call you tomorrow". I was a little upset because now I have had the same symptoms that I have had each time I have needed the EGD with dilation, and depending on when the UGI gets scheduled I could not have resolution until the end of the week! Why would he want an UGI when the symptoms were the same?
I spent the afternoon being upset, but then driving home thinking: hey things could be worse, this is a minor complication, I said that when I decided on this surgery I didn't care if I ever ate again, I dont have G-tubes, I am still working and functional!
So, why do you think he wants an UGI?

I don't know. Why don't you call his office in the morning and ask?
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
