Trying very hard to get motivated and go for a walk.....maybe I will do Wii Dance....that'll get the heart pumping and I can stay inside (looks like rain).  Sorta down today...seems like when Hubby and I have a start at a good weekend and we both are seriously trying....he screws it up.  Makes me want to throw up my hands..good grief!    Anyway, I have an interview this week so getting prepared for that and hopefully will have a job offer soon!   :)  Positive reinforcement right?

Here's my thoughts on food...will make breakfast after this post...guess I'm getting hungry!

B-  Egg with cheese / fresh peach
S-  yogurt
L-  meatloaf maybe (we have leftovers galore)
S-  Watermelon
D-  Nik's Taco Casserole (went to the store yesterday in the rain and bought all the ingredients!)

Trying to keep a close watch on the calories.....seems like the body is shrinking but the scale is lagging behind.....went clothes shopping in my closet over the weekend and found several things that now fit again!  Granted my little black dress fits but it'll look amazing in another 40 lbs.  LOL    So what's on your plate?

Happy Monday!! Make it a GREAT one!

This was an interesting weekend for me. I'm used to being okay with eating 1100-1400 calories a day, but I did two long runs this weekend (5.5 and 6 miles) so I was HUNGRY like a horse. It was hard to be okay with eating more and not feeling like I was really screwing up.

But weekdays are short runs or elliptical sessions, so it's back to the norm.

Breakfast: Black coffee
Lunch: Either 4 oz. tilapia and salad from the Mexican restaurant or 4 oz. roasted turkey and salad from the deli. Whatever sounds good at 12:30
Snack: Strawberry yogurt
Dinner: Leftover BBQ chicken from yesterday. Mmm! I'll cook a veggie to go with it; either broccoli or zucchini.
Snack: An egg and some wheat toast probably
Snack 2: Roasted peach with some frozen plain yogurt.

Hope everyone has a good Monday!

I just added an Ocean Spray cran-grape drink mix packet to my plain chobani yogurt...OMG was it good. Since the fruit flavors have upwards of 19g of sugar I had to find an alternative. This kept the sugar at just 7 grams!

I am so glad this weekend is over. I spent nearly the entire weekend alone (as in no other humans in my orbit at all). To some this might be heaven. To me (beyond maybe a day) it is not. I like people. I am a people person.

Today is work then I am ducking out support group to go to spin class. I feel like I have "gym momentum" going. It's funny. I love the gym but I get into these bouts of not going. Stupid but true.

Eats as I know them:

1. A handful of honey roasted soy nuts on the way out the door
2. Protein Frappe
3. One of Nik's "Protein-y Zucchini Fritters" (recipe this afternoon on BF!) on an Arnold Thin with a honey-dijon/Greek yogurt spread I made to go with.
4. Probably Click/Skim before spin
5. Probably an egg-chilada post spin with onions, peppers, zucchini and chipotle chicken inside (from the deli) and cheese, salsa and Greek yogurt on top
6. If I feel I need it later, strawberries, blueberries, Greek yogurt, Splenda and Fiber One.

i had a plan, and it was great. and then insomnia struck last night and i didn't get out of bed until noon. so now i'll probably just dump what i had on my plan for breakfast, it keeps my protein good but not enough calories, so we'll see?

realized i didn't put down the actual plan sans breakfast...

lunch - 4 oz deli ham, slice of cheese, 5 ritz crackers, mustard and 5 grape tomatoes
pre-gym - iced vanilla protein coffee (i need the caffeine today!)
dinner - chicken breast, not sure how i'm gonna cook it yet... i'm thinking marinating in honey mustard and then baking it. nsa applesauce
snack - string cheese, grapes, and sf pudding pack

1000 cals exactly (before honey mustard marinade or whatever i decide to do), 92 protein

Man- the hungry horrors have been getting all weekend and today. I think I might need to up my calories. I'm 9.5 months post op and eat 1000 calories day 80+ grams/ protein a day. I work out 3-5 days/week- running, classes at the gym, etc. Of course i am nervous to up the calories....anyone else around the same time frame? How much are you all eating? I also emailed my nutritionist and am waiting to hear back

Breakfast- Grande soy latte
Snack- cottage cheese and blueberries
Lunch- left overs- ceviche and a couple grilled shrimp w/ onions and mushrooms
Snack- I feel like I will need a protein shake
Dinner- Taco casserole.

Going to two classes tonight- CX works- I've never been then my new favorite, Body Combat!

My Y has CXWorx. Can you describe it to me? It's always offered while I'm at work so I can't really sit in and see.

Hey, what'd you think of the taco casserole?
