Met my surgeon!

I had my WLS Orientation today and got my surgical consult scheduled before leaving. Turns out I was able to get the surgeon, Dr. Christine Chu (Kaiser - Fremont,) who happened to be the surgeon speaking today. I was able to talk with her briefly after the orientation.  I'm so thrilled I am truly getting somewhere! My consult is scheduled 9/6 and was happy it wasn't weeks and weeks out. Now to buckle down and do all the preop necessaries and work on losing some weight. I've mostly been a lurker, researching and "listening" to what everyone has to say, but today  I'm so happy that things are moving along now that I had to post. Thank you to all you vets who have such great info and advice.....I'll be following along during my journey!

I am excited for you!  All the pre-op testing will be a breeze and before you know it, you will be announcing your surgery date

Glad to hear you are well on your way.  I am kind of in the same boat too. I had my physical and am now working to get all my pre-op stuff out of the way. I just need to see my cardiologist to get my clearance outof the way. I am going to see the NUT and have my one on one in about two weeks. Also going to a support group next week for a little added incentive.
