Does Wheat Make You Fat?
Well, Im 3 days ahead of the game already! Once I finally decided the RNY was the path for me, I buckled down and started behaving myself. Not had bread in 3 days, including an olympic bbq I went to. So yeah a 30 day stretch is very do-able for me, especially because I just reignited my romantic passion for fruit!
I was actually tested for wheat intollernce a few years ago and it came back nagative, but I have heard people can be sensitive to it and it just isn't enough to show up on a test. I am willing to try anything at this point cos I am itchy and stingy and full of red patches!

Good for you! I truly believe the key to success with any WLS starts with looking at our food demons and taking the steps to change. WLS has helped me stick with a healthier way of eating but it didn't do a thing before I was willing to do my part. I really believe one of my mistakes with my first WLS is expecting it to do all the work automatically and maybe for some it works that way but for me it is only a tool and tools are pretty much useless if you don't use them. I look at it this way, you can build a house without tools but it is an awful lot of work and most would give up before it is done. But using tools makes it more doable but the tools don't build the house by it's self. And using the wrong tool isn't much help. I mean, I have had times that I needed a hammer to hammer in a nail and I couldn't find one so I used something handy that I thought would work, like a heavy wrench, and all it did was make it worse, bend the nail or break the wall. So I had to put some effort into finding a hammer and use that.
