Why can't we throw up post op??

While I haven't been preggers post-op, I will say I have no problems throwing up if the occasion merits it.

i have no problem barfing either .when i have too i just stick my finger down my troat and up it comes ! sometimes i will take a drink of water to get it up too ..but dont like barfing either but sometimes you get something stuck and its easier to barf it up than to wait for it to go down!

wow, I can't throw up whenever I want or make myself!!! lol I either am sick with a bug or am pregnant if I am throwing up. And like I said, it's dry heaving... lol I'm glad I don't barf up all my food now! lol

Odd - I have vomited.

My family teases me that I am a belimic in training. I vomit quite well

 Mine is more of a spit up than a vomit with lots of snot

yeah see that's me too, it's more like a little spit up with some mucus too. LOL!!!!!

i am getting  my rny in few weeks and was wondering if making yourself vomit something i will have to do to keep from getting sick. and if so how often does this happen and what do i need to stay away from that can possibly make me have to do this. I hate throwing up, dry heaving, and of it.

iv'e thrown up since surgery but it's just saliva and whatever i just ate , personally don't miss the acid coming up and the smell with the old stomach but it definitely is different.

I've only thrown up once.. I over ate.. I only threw up enough to make some room in my pouch.. Like two tablespoons worth. Ever since its just the heaves... Thank god.. Puking makes me SICK!!
