ProbaBly time to intro myself.... With a story! Long story....

Hello,  I'm glad you are on the road to recovery.  RNY was the best choice for me.  Hopefully it will work out ok for you.  It is a great tool when used following a good rny diet.  I am not going to say I never have bad days, but they are getting fewer between.  If I am not feeling right, I go back and look at my food log to figure out why.  Then I can choose to correct or not. 

Hopefully your journey thru rny will be good.  Best of luck and keep posting.  The people on this forum are wonderful and have so much information that can help. 

I planned on the sleeve, got RNY instead on my surgeon's advice.  I was so afraid of it and it is so easy.  I am sorry you went through what you did and I am going to predict you will be so happy when you find out how easy an RNY is to live and with and how easy weight loss is with it.

Sorry you went through all ot that.  I hope it will be a different doctor next time.

RNY has been great for me...not saying there are blips here and there but I've lost uber amounts of weight, am more active, feel better, off meds, no longer have high blood pressure and diabetes and....I'm happy...good luck!

Anyway, if it helps at all, I changed my mind a zillion times about what procedure to have.  I'm SO glad I went with the RNY....it's awesome. 

I'm sorry you had such a difficult path...here's hoping it gets easier from here!

 Welcome to the site! It sounds like you have had all the bad luck any person should have so NOW you get a new start. 
Where are you from in OZ? My husband and I (both Yanks) met and married in Exmouth, W.A. Loved our time there. Good luck with everything :)

The surgeon that put my band in is not the same surgeon that took it out then ****ed up on the sleeve- I wouldn't let the original surgeon near me if you paid me!! The sleeve surgeon is still involved at this stage because he knows exactly what happened and can explain it technically better than I can and he's paying for my next surgery - I'm consulting with two others at the moment( keeping the sleeve surgeon in the loop is keeping him accountable- I should also mention he's head surgeon at his hospital)
