My surgery is scheduled for 9/26. I have my pre op testing today. What should I expect? They mentioned a chest xray and ekg....anything else?

I am getting excited and nervous.

I keep thinking....this time next year I will be so much thinner!!!! and I will fell so much better.

on the flip side....this will be my first surgey and my first time being put to sleep...I am worried I won't wake up!!!!

Nothing too major today. EKG, chest x-ray, vitals, and probably blood work to make sure that you are healthy for surgery.

It's normal to be nervous. This is a big life change! But it is so worth it and you're on the road to a healthier you.

The worst the anesthetic will do is make you a little bit nauseous. Good luck and see you on the losers bench!

this won't be my first surgery, but I remember my first one, and being a nurse makes it much worse!  But it went fine..they will give you meds and you won't know or feel a thing!  Good luck!

I had my pre op testing yesterday (my surgery is on 9/17).  It was really nearly a routine physical.  The doctor asked me all kinds of questions, listened to my chest, had an EKG, and they drew blood.  Overall, it was pretty easy.
