At lunch time today my co-worker and I ran to the store to pick up a few items for work.  While we were there we ran into a former co-worker and when I walked up and said hello as my current co-worker was talking to the former. The former co-worker just looked at me with a blank look on her face, then she said "Oh Hi, I didn't recognize you!" I haven't seen this lady for a couple of months, so I guess I have changed a bit in the three months since surgery.

During the same store trip we ran into a friend of ours who works there and she has been out on vacation for a couple of weeks and when she saw me she says "you have lost a lot more weight?" I just smiled and said yep I have! Yes, she does know about my surgery.

It will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. It requires sacrifice. There will be temptation. But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it's WORTH IT! (Author Unknown). I feel this sums up my ongoing journey to a healthier me!
